Richard Milhous Nixon

Richard Nixon (1913-1994) 

Richard Milhous Nixon served as the 37th President of the United States. He was a graduate of Duke University School of Law and practiced law in California. He is the only president to have resigned from office.

During World War II, Nixon served as a Marine officer in the Pacific. After completing his tour, he returned to California to become Senator and Vice-president under General Eisenhower at only the age of 39.

Because of the Watergate scandal, Nixon was the first and only President of the United States of America to date to resign as he was faced with impeachment.
