The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.

The data provided when registering for the newsletter will be used to distribute the newsletter until you cancel your subscription when said data will be deleted. Data we have stored for other purposes (e.g., email addresses for the member´s area) remain unaffected.

Our email newsletters are sent via the technical service provider Inxmail GmbH, Wentzigerstr. 17, 79106 Freiburg, Germany, Tel.: +49 761 296979-0, Email: info@inxmail.de, https://www.inxmail.de, to whom we pass on the data you provided when registering for the newsletter. This forwarding takes place within the scope of order processing by Inxmail. Please note that your data is usually transferred to a server of Inxmail and stored there.

Inxmail uses this information to send and statistically evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. For the evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are single-pixel image files stored on our website. This makes it possible to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked on. Technical information is also recorded (e.g., time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system). The data is collected exclusively pseudonymously and is not linked to your other personal data, a direct personal reference is excluded. You can also prevent the storage of cookies by setting your web browser accordingly. You can also prevent the storage and transmission of personal data by deactivating JavaScript in your web browser or installing a JavaScript blocker (e.g., https://noscript.net or https://www.ghostery.com). We would like to point out that these measures may mean that not all functions of our website are available.

Furthermore, Inxmail may use this data itself in accordance with Art. 6 (1) f) DSGVO on the basis of its own legitimate interest in designing and optimizing the service in line with demand, as well as for market research purposes, for example, to determine which countries the recipients come from. However, Inxmail does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them or to pass it on to third parties.

You can view Inxmail's data protection provisions here: https://www.inxmail.de/datenschutz.

Newsletter tracking

Our newsletters contain so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic that is embedded in such emails that are sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and log file analysis. This enables statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. Based on the embedded tracking pixel, the Company may see if and when an e-mail was opened by you, and which links in the e-mail were called up by you.

Such personal data collected via the tracking pixels contained in the newsletters are stored and evaluated by us in order to optimize the newsletter dispatch and to better adapt the content of future newsletters to your interests. This personal data will not be passed on to third parties. Data subjects are entitled at any time to revoke the separate declaration of consent given in this regard via the double-opt-in procedure. After a revocation, this personal data will be deleted by us. We automatically interpret an unsubscription from the receipt of the newsletter as a revocation.

Such an evaluation is carried out in particular in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) DSGVO (GDPR) on the basis of our legitimate interests in the insertion of personalized advertising, market research, and/or the needs-based design of our website.

7. Social Media

Data processing through social networks

We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. The social networks used by us in detail can be found below.

Social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. can generally analyze your user behavior comprehensively when you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g., like buttons or advertising banners). By visiting our social media presences, numerous data protection-relevant processing operations are triggered. In detail:

If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. However, your personal data may also be collected under certain circumstances if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data collection takes place, for example, via cookies that are stored on your end device or by recording your IP address.

With the help of the data collected in this way, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. In this way, you can be shown interest-based advertising inside and outside the respective social media presence. Provided you have an account with the respective social network, the interest-based advertising may be displayed on all devices on which you are or were logged in.

Please also note that we cannot track all processing on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, further processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. For details, please refer to the terms of use and data protection provisions of the respective social media portals.

Legal basis

Our social media presences are intended to ensure the most comprehensive presence possible on the Internet. This is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO (GDPR). The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases, which are to be indicated by the operators of the social networks (e.g., consent within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO (GDPR).

Responsible person and assertion of rights

If you visit one of our social media sites (e.g., Facebook), we are jointly responsible with the operator of the social media platform for the data processing operations triggered during this visit. In principle, you can assert your rights (information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and complaint) both vis-à-vis us and vis-à-vis the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g. vis-à-vis Facebook).

Please note that despite the joint responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have full influence on the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options are largely determined by the corporate policy of the respective provider.

Storage period

The data collected directly by us via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your terminal device until you delete them. Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage period of your data, which is stored by the operators of social networks for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the social networks directly (e.g., in their privacy policy, see below).
